Cachet is an insurance services marketplace for platform workers. We are offering dynamically priced insurance based on their real working hours. We are a hybrid team with a physical office in Tallinn but work with a remote-first mindset. 

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a focus on collection, interpretation, visualisation, and analysis of our data to help drive and support our decision making. The primary objective of the position is to transform complex data into a reporting structure that allows stakeholders to understand the data and draw actionable conclusions. In this role, you will take initiative, and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You'll directly contribute to improving the understanding of performance, price elasticity, and platform strategies through your deliverables.

Who are we looking for

  • Demonstrated skills in visualising data
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence or Statistical Data Analyst
  • Passion for sharing data with others
  • Overall desire to make things better
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in Insurance sector but is not a prerequisite
  • Experience in Data warehousing & ETL
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge in machine learning concepts
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data modelling

What the job involves:

  • Design and implement Business and product KPIs
  • Propose data models and/or actionable steps for better business decisions and product enhancements
  • Write efficient data queries to varied types of product and customer analysis
  • Analyse and compile customer behaviour and profitability analysis reports
  • Present data analysis summary results to team members and business line leadership on request
  • Be a part of market sizing and research  initiatives 
  • Supports subject matter experts in specific business analysis areas while expanding his/her knowledge base
  • Provide expertise in data modelling and predictive analytics
  • Drive customer acquisition and engagement
  • Improve operational efficiencies in various areas of the company
  • Participate in current reporting improvements (quality / granularity / automation) to support business decisions and in new report developments
